FAQ’s
1) What is a tithe?
A tithe is, simply, one-tenth of whatever you bring into your home financially that you then give back to God.
2) How much should I give? On the gross? The net? What about my income tax refund?
You should give based on money that passes through your hands, whether it be your paycheck, tax refund or any other source of income.
“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.” – 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NLT)
3) Where do my tithes go?
Your tithes help to support the awesome task of winning souls for Christ; from keeping the lights on to purchasing food to feed the homeless.
4) Will I be saved if I tithe?
No, tithing does not guarantee you salvation. To be saved, you must confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God. Tithing is a sign of obedience to God and faith in His word that He will meet your needs.
5) What if I don’t give tithes?
Not tithing does not mean you are not saved; however, it does mean you are being disobedient to God word.
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!’” – Malachi 3:10 (NLT)
